Are you the type of person who prefers a vacation of heart pounding excitement and potential danger? If it is safe, is it boring to you? Are the average museums and zoos just a poor copy of the real deal? If these three phrases seem to adequately describe you and your sense of adventure, then perhaps the normal vacation isn't your cup of tea. That is okay, because we think that we have the perfect getaway spot for you. Your perfect vacation will be spent in Everglades at the Miami Gator Park.
Here you will find that the animals are not in cages and they are far from tame or trained. These are the real deal in their natural habitats. During your stay you will come across thousands of varieties of wildlife. There are several hundred species of colorful wild birds alone, but being the type of extreme vacationer that you are, we suspect that you are not here for the birds. You are likely here for over two hundred thousand alligators, deadly crocodiles, snakes, and turtles that call these swamps home. Oh, and lest we forget it, you might get very lucky and see one of the very few endangered Florida Panthers. These vicious creatures aren't endangered for no reason, so beware.
Of course, no one would dare wander through these snake, crocodile and alligator infested swamp waters by foot. That would be a disaster in the making, and we would hate for you to become gator chow. Not to worry, as the Miami Gator Park has made sure that you have reliable transportation in the form of the popular air boats. Local professional guides that know where all the big critters hide out drive these giant fan driven platforms and act as your host. They will make sure that you see what you came to see. And if you are fortunate, or unfortunate, depending upon how scared you like to be, then you may just get to see the Miami Gator Parks big boy, Jumbo the Alligator. This old boy is better than six foot in length. We can't tell you how much he weighs as we are all far to intelligent to try and convince this mammoth beast to get on a scale.
The patrons of this particularly predator park understand that you will definitely want to take a little something home to remember this trip by, so they have set up the Gator Park Souvenir Shop. Here you will find all kinds of strange and unusual reptile oriented items of various size and shape. One such souvenir is the popular gourmet gator cookbook. This is a neat little item on the off chance that you ever end up with a fresh gator tail that you have no plans for. There are also t-shirts, books, DVD's, lifelike gators of alligator and crocodile heads, and Indian crafted items. This is by far not your usual gift shop.
So if your ideal of the perfect summer vacation getaway is something that is more than five feet long, scaled, clawed, and has teeth that could rip your arm of, then your extreme vacation should very well be spent in the Everglades at the Miami Florida Gator Park.
